Hello fellow readers! My name is Maya I am a 20-year-old reader, author and book-blogger from London.
I've been reading for as long as I can remember and it was actually my parents who got me into reading! I still remember as a child, my parents would read to me every night (usually a choice between Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton). When I started reading myself, my parents would come into my room every morning to see that I had fallen asleep with my head buried in the pages of a book.
I can't give you a favourite book, or even a favourite genre, but I have to say I prefer romances and fantasies. At the moment, I've also been loving Jane Austen (especially Pride and Prejudice) and I've been reading a fair amount of romance. . I also love reading books from indie authors and discovering new writers.
For so many of us, books are a way of escaping the everyday; of travelling to new worlds and meeting new people. I hope you will join me in discovering these new wonders. Thank you for checking out my Bookish Chats! I hope you stay for a while :)
